Program Highlights

In our Welding program you will:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain live vehicles using the same high end repair equipment found in the finest shops including Hunter alignment racks, tire changers & wheel balancers and lifts; Ammco brake lathes; and Snap-On & OTC scan tools.
  • Develop skills that perfectly align to postsecondary and, ultimately, industry through our ASE approved curriculum.
  • Engage in an extensive eight-week internship working alongside professional “A Techs” with possibility of immediate job placement.
  • Enroll with proven confidence in top postsecondary schools in the region including Toyota, GM, Chrysler, Honda and Caterpillar Manufacturers.

Education/Credentials: 30 years in education-I have taught agriculture and agriculture mechanics in CT and career technology education classes (automotive, woodworking, carpentry, small engines, metalworking and welding) for the past 14 years in NH. I have taught welding for approximately 20 years. I have many years of practical experience in trade related areas (I was an auto student for 2 years at the “Concord Vocational Tech” program when I was in high school). I worked as a mechanic at Northern New England Peterbilt and was an M1 tank mechanic in the Army and heavy equipment mechanic in the Army reserve. I own a farm and spend many hours operating equipment and maintaining the buildings and equipment on the farm which often will require some welding and other skills.
